The Nisswa Area Historical Society is a community non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the area's local history. The Society is in charge of the restored train depot and Northern Pacific Caboose. It also manages the Pioneer Village which is a self guided tour of the grounds and original restored and relocated buildings from the 1800's, which includes a schoolhouse, livery, immigrant cabins and more. The Society is open to the public for stopping in and more.
