The fountain is on the campus of Butler University. A plaque with dedication is in front of the fountain, and it is dedicated to Chris Theofanis.

Known to many as “Mr. Butler,” Chris Theofanis graduated from Butler in 1952, and except for service during the Korean War, he never left. He served the university in many public relations capacities for 42 years. Very few were untouched by Theofanis’ smiling face, words of encouragement and “can-do” spirit.

The fountain is composed of a waterfall of about 0.3 meters high made of small boulders and rocks, and water falling from the top of the waterfall into the basin below. The basin below is at most, 2 meters wide.
