Going south on the Golden State Boulevard just before you arrive in Selma, California at Dinuba Avenue you will find Freeway Lanes, with wonderful early 60s neon signage and a little roadside bowling alley. Golden State Boulevard is the original highway, the northbound lanes are the 1895 two lane routing of what would become US Route 99 along the Railroad tracks, the southbound lanes were added in 1935 at the time this was a standard "freeway." In 1962 just as Freeway Lanes was opening for business the old highway was supplanted by the new facility .25 miles west. Freeway Lanes fronts both roads. While the bowling isn't bad - the signage and the building are stars at this location.
