Initially George Fox's followers met in open spaces, like their own burial grounds. It was only through benefactors that Meeting Houses were built or converted from other buildings once the Act of Toleration was passed.
Constructed from local limestone with stone flag roof originally. Re-roofed with a slate roof and walls rendered and painted.

The stable conversion has a dated stone of 1967.
