As you enter Covington from the south on State Highway 74, you are welcomed by a sign on the east side of the highway, which reads:
"Welcome to Covington - Wildcat Country"
Covington is a town of approximately 575 residents. It sits about 13 miles west of Perry, in Garfield County, on Highway 74.
The Wildcats are the Covington-Douglas football team who play 3-C football. Their colors are Blue and White and they are the pride of this prairie town.
