Each of the bridges over Penetencia Creek has its own character. This one is particularly attractive for its railings with miniature arches over the main arch of the bridge. All of the surviving bridges were constructed after a devastating 1911 flood, but surprisingly, in spite of regular spring floods, a dam was not put in place upstream until 1936.
