A compass rose at the eastern end of an important park in the city.

The small park is a long rectangle of green in a good area of Phnom Penh. It is flanked by two important roads, and, has at its eastern end a fountain, which is also a compass rose. The four cardinal points are inscribed on the ground around the fountain, which is approximately 10m in diameter. The arrangement is that, by standing in front of each cardinal point, and then gazing over the centre of the fountain, one is facing into the direction indicated by the cardinal point. The orientation is correct.
Not the most impressive compass rose ever designed, but it does work, and I venture to suggest it is the only in Phnom Penh.
