One of the newer universities in Cambodia, founded in 2003. The university is situated just south of the Independence monument, not too far from the river. Currently, students are taught in a variety of buildings scattered around this area, centred on a small admin building. When I visited I did see a poster in the admin building, which displayed a proposed new and large campus building for the university.
The university teachers undergraduate courses as well as graduate courses to the level of a PhD. Faculties include: Arts and Humanities, Education, Law, Management, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences.
The university is listed a private, however, I was told that it receives financial assistance from the Cambodian government. I was unable to find the number of students enrolled, but I would estimate in the low thousands.
