By helping make possible the erection of a permanent shrine on the submerged hull of the U.S.S. Arizona at Pearl Harbor has honored the 1,102 naval heroes of 7 December 1941 who lie entombed there, that we the living may glorify the sacrifice of those who died for the peace and security of mankind.
