The Croatian Hope Memorial has a walkway of dedicated bricks on the north side (face) of the tower. There is a foot bridge and walkway from the City Park to the west, leading to the memorial itself. The bricks are laid out in a walkway entrance about 6 feet wide that lines the walkway through the area right up to the monument.
?Text on Memorial:
HRVATSKA NADA
(Croatian Hope)
This memorial is dedicated to the Croatian Immigrants and their families, who migrated from their homeland in the late 1800's. They came to America to fulfill a dream - to provided the best possible life for their families and future generations to come. They settled in Gallup, New Mexico where the coal mining industry provided an opportunity for work. Today, many Croatian families still reside in Gallup, where the traditions and heritage of our Croatian ancestors continues to be passed on from generation to generation.
