Die Köhlbrandbrücke verbindet seit dem 23. September 1974 das Hafengebiet auf der Hamburger Elbinsel Wilhelmsburg mit der Bundesautobahn 7 (Anschlussstelle Waltershof). Die Brücke überspannt den 325 Meter breiten, hier Köhlbrand genannten Arm der Süderelbe, die sich wenige hundert Meter weiter wieder mit der Norderelbe vereinigt.

The Köhlbrandbrücke links since 23 September 1974, the port area of Hamburg on the Elbe island Wilhelmsburg A 7 (junction Waltershof). The bridge spans the 325-meter-wide, here Köhlbrand listed arm of the Southern Elbe, which a few hundred meters further united again with the North Elbe.
