This towering public clock sits on the eastern side of a large public square/parking area in the centre of the government precinct of the large Thai city of Korat. It is surrounded by the provincial admin offices, the provincial law courts, the museum and library. It large and impressive, and serves a use function, with but one drawback—the clock is non-operational.
The inscription on the tower states that the carpark, landscaping, and the clock cost 3,695,000 baht (~$100,000us), in the Buddhist year 2538, which is 1995 CE.
