Dannevirke is known for its Scandinavian heritage, which dates back to 1872 when 21 Danish and Norwegian families arrived to settle the district. The Viking Ship playground in the domain is a great family attraction.
The "playground" is set within the carved prow and stern of a wooden viking ship, containing swings, slides, ladders, towers, ropes, tunnels, gangways and decks.
Situated on Christian Street off High Street, the main road through town.
