There is a fantastic collection of auto part sculptures at a junk yard. One of three junk yards mentioned on the Roadside Attractions website (which is how I discovered this), this one being the most impressive and prolific. The sculptures range from large to small, some are isolated and some are in groups. Most are people based but a few are insects, plants and one large angry dog which frightened me!

If you visit EL& M scrap yard looking for car parts, you will most likely forget why you came here and instead get lost in all the amazing car part sculptures. There are about 10 of these things scattered near the entrance and in front. There are none in the back where the cars are but please do not go back there. The folks running the counter gave me permission to walk around and snap photos.

This waymark focuses on 5 similar sculptures just past the front entrance in front of a structure. They are all human based and of course made form used auto parts. With the five crazy-looking figures are a couple of flowers and a turkey (to be waymarked separately). I have dubbed these red and white people 'The Squatter', 'Whatsa Matter You', 'The Squatter', 'Disco Inferno' and 'Pray w/Me'. All of these people are real characters, very funy, charming and whimsical. Each one has its own expression made of gears, rotors, axels, car frame parts, brake parts, and other pieces. These are definitely a work of art.

The people in the office wanted to make very clear that these sculptures are the furthest one can go. Anything further back is off-limits for insurance reasons and you are asked to not go back there. Needless to say, these sculptures represent the art that is furthest from the entrance. They are slightly off to the right. They also told me the person who made these used to work here but has been gone for a long time.
