Henry Duncan was a man of many attributes. At first he worked in a bank. Giving that up to study for the ministry. Appointed to the parish of Ruthwell he set about making life better for the poorest by starting his savings bank.

Geologists will know Duncan as first to identify fossil footprints.

The museum is about Duncan and savings and banking. A three lock security box, early coins and notes and books on early banking are on display.

Free admission.
