This marker broke my heart the first time I saw it. There is a whole story written on this marble monument.
This is a 2 ft. high marble monument that has been engraved by hand, probably with a drill bit. The son was 18 and because of the momentos imbedded beneath the marker, may have died in a motorcycle accident - perhaps not.
The marker reads:
"Edward E. Bell
Son
May 23, 1961
Aug. 14, 1979
Love you, Son
Dad"
At the base of the monument is a small concrete slab which reads "Forever at Peace." Imbedded into the concrete is a key (perhaps a motorcycle key), a Harley Davidson metal emblem (perhaps a belt buckle), and two 50 cent coins.
Date of Birth: May 23, 1961
Date of Death: August 14, 1979
