This piece explores the sad human trait of jealousy. It is based on a etching by Jacques Callot (1592-1635). The Medieval carnival symbolism expresses the dualities of the human spirit. (from Museum of Outdoor Arts Destination Art brochure, 2008) The sculpture is looking into the windows of a nearby office building!
This piece is on an island in a parking lot of a large office complex. The sculptor, Harry Marinsky also sculpted the nearby Walrus and Carpenter and the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland at nearby Samson Park.
