No longer in use but well preserved, Holme Mills Sluice Gate and lock is located on the River Ivel. It has a guillotine gate installed at its head to hold up the water level.
This is a picturesque area where Holme Mills is home to Jordans, the famous cereal manufacturer.
Next to the lock is a mysterious bust on a pedestal. It is thought that Italian prisoners of war placed it here.
