A statue of a mother and children riding on a bicycle in the rain,donated by its Sister City, located at the Duck Pond Park in Temecula.

Leidschendam-Voorburg is located in the Netherlands, southwest of Amsterdam, close to the Hague. Leidschendam-Voorburg has been a Sister City since 1993.

‘THIS SCULPTURE ‘SINGING IN THE RAIN’ IS MEANT TO EXPRESS THE SOLIDARITY OF THE COMMUNITY OF LEIDSCHENDAM-VOORBURG TO THE PEOPLE OF OUR SISTER CITY TEMECULA, IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENTS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001.”
THE SCULPTURE WAS MADE BY THE VOORBURG ARTIST FRANS KOKSHOORN.
