The central Thai province of Suphan Buri (~100kms north of Bangkok) has, as it should, a bus station. This station links the small city and the province to Bangkok, to the surrounding provinces, and to the districts within the province.
The station is situated on a major road, near the centre of the town, and is fully equipped with all the necessities. It follows the standard design to be found in most Thai towns, a rectangular covered, waiting area, with facilites at either end, and bus parking bays around. On my one visit, it seemed rather quiet, which differs markedly from every other provincial Thai bus station I have seen. Also, there were no English signs in the station, with the exception of one sign, which indicated the departure point to the nearby tourist city of Ayutthaya. Usually, even in smaller towns, at least the destination signs are bi-lingual.
