Every year, the Manteca Mural Society gathers a group of volunteers and adds at least one new mural to the town's growing collection. In 2009, artists D.S. Gordon and E.E. Yates supervised the creation of the mural "Manteca Snow."

For the last 70 years, almonds have been one of the major crops of Manteca's agriculture. Lately, many of the old orchards have been sacrificed to new housing developments, but a number of them still remains, creating two very special weeks of almond blossoming every spring.
