Low Gardens Bridge is a lovely bridge topped with sandstone parapets. Arched high above the river Lowther.

This way was the ancient route north, taken by everyone. Only recently bypassed by the Turnpike, now A6 and latterly M6 motorway.

Nowadays to save the structure, a metal girder bridge has been built beside Low Gardens Bridge, which can take vehicular traffic.
