The Lincoln County News, located at 718 Manvel Avenue, Chandler, OK was established in 1891, at the time of the Land Run of 1891. This portion of the Oklahoma Territory was opened for settlement and when the gun went off at noon, thousands of people raced to claim their piece of land.
Chandler is an historic town, right on Route 66, with numerous buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
Lincoln County News has been operating continuously since 1891. It is a small-town paper and has no website.
