Reference marks have changed.
There is no Witness Post.
There is no multi-trunk tree.
There is no palm tree.
5.5 ft North of the phone junction box is a brick wall.
4.8 ft North of a powerline pole is the same brick wall.
I think when Hwy 281 was widened, the junction box and the powerline pole were moved to the east, and the trees were removed.
Mark is now about 20 ft West of the phone junction box and 10 ft east of the curb of the highway.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1981 3.9 KM (2.45 MI) SOUTH FROM PHARR. 3.9 KM (2.45 MI) SOUTH ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 281 FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 83 BUSINESS AT PHARR, AT THE JUNCTION OF RANCHO BLANCO LEADING EAST, 15.8 METERS (52.0 FT) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 7.5 METERS (24.5 FT) NORTH OF THE CENTER OF THE ROAD, 1.7 METERS (5.5 FT) NORTH OF AN UNDERGROUND TELEPHONE CABLE JUNCTION BOX, 1.5 METERS (4.8 FT) NORTH OF A POWERLINE POLE, 2.2 METERS (7.2 FT) NORTHWEST OF A SMALL MULTI TRUNKED TREE, AND 2.2 METERS (7.2 FT) SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF A 12 INCH PALM TREE. NOTE, ROD DRIVEN TO REFUSAL. THE MARK IS 0.31 METERS W FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS ABOVE LEVEL WITH HIGHWAY.
