The GPS coordinates are for the former west entrance to the base where the missile is on. The main entrance was probably at Veterans Pkwy (45) and S. Century BLVD. There isn't any signs indicating you are entering the base. This retired AFB is home to the The Chanute Air Museum, don't miss it out if your in the area.
The Minute Man Missile was developed and implemented during the cold war. They are intercontinental ballistic missile.
