This red granite monument sits in a grassy area to the east of the 179th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City.
It is engraved as follows:

** Beneath the "179" are crossed rifles.
** To the left of the rifles is the Thunderbird ensignia of the 45th Infantry Division
** To the right of the rifles is an Indian shield with the words "In omnia paratus" which means 'Prepared for all things.'
