The plaque sits on a rock in the corner of Sherwood Park. The park is a large public park, next to the Salinas Rodeo. The plaque is accessible through any of the park's entrances. There's also a large parking lot nearby.
The plaque reads: "In honor of The Salvation Army Centennial - 1894-1994. Dedicated November 19, 1994 to the Glory of God and in memory of those officers, soldiers and friends who advanced the mission of The Salvation Army in the city of Salinas, California, through selfless service and sacrifice with "HEART TO GOD AND HAND TO MAN" exemplified by: Bud Antle, Friend. Ward Mcclellan, advisory board member. Josephine Morris, soldier, Mrs. Major Linda Reyes, officer."
