Space Observer is described as "a two-story sculpture with giant propeller-tipped arms senses your presence". The three-legged sculpture supports a rotating pod. The pod has arms sticking out with propellers that when activated, cause the pod to rotate on the base. There are several cameras located located on the pod and pointing downward. These camera sense movement, activate the propellers and turn the pod towards the movement. A main viewing screen at the front of the pod show what the pod is facing. You can see yourself on the display screen.
This sculpture is located in the public entry area before the check-in area is reached.
