The San Antonio College's Biology Club of 2001-02 established a 9/11 memorial in the center of the college campus. A tree was planted and a red granite monument engraved with the US flag, the dedication text, and crediting the Biology Club was placed in front of the tree. This is located along the main sidewalk through the north-south axis of the campus. The granite is framed by polished black ceramic tiles and the engraved text and flag image is colored white to contrast against the red and black spots in the granite.
