Constructed in Brantford, Ontario by the British Crown in 1785, and commonly known as, "Mohawk Chapel", this church was given to the Mohawk Indians and their leader Joseph Brant for their support of the Crown during the American Revolution. Originally called, "St. Paul's", Edward VII elevated it to the status of Chapel Royal in 1904.

This simple building has been renovated several times over the years, and it has even survived minor damage during two failed arson attempts in November 2001.

The church entrance originally faced the canoe landing site to the east, on the bank of the Grand River. Today an observation deck exists facing the original canoe landing area. The monument located here pays tribute to each of the six nations of natives representing the people of the Six Nations.

Eight beautiful stained glass windows depict events from the history of the Six Nations.

Joseph Brant's remains were moved to this location from the original burial grounds in Burlington in 1850. His son, John is also buried in this tomb.

There is also a large boulder with plaques as a memorial to Pauline Johnson located near Brant's tomb. Pauline Johnson was born on the Six Nations Reserve, and became a reknowned writer and poetess.
