The Harrah History Center is located at 20881 E. Main in Harrah, Oklahoma and contains exhibits of the early days of the town. A plaque in the front yard of this building summarizes the settling of this area with the following narrative:

"The present site of Harrah was first settled in 1876 by French-Potawatomi Indian Louis Navarre. In 1892 E.W. Sweeney built a bridge at the strategic ford across the North Canadian River, increasing the settlement's prospects. The railroad's arrival in 1896 assured success. Frank Harrah, entrepreneur, purchased 80 acres from Navarre, of which a portion was used for development. A 40 acre tract was surveyed, platted, and officially entered as the town of Harrah on Feb. 18, 1899. This marker stands within the original tract in the heart of the town's early business district. Donated Apr. 26, 2008 Bill and Joanne Harrah. Mfd. by Willis Granite Products, Granite, Oklahoma."

The History Center also includes the Rock Island Depot Museum. The depot sits on the same property and plans are underway for the depot to also soon be open to the public.
