Follow the Grays River from its confluence with the Snake River about five miles east to its confluence with the Little Grays River. Most of the road is gravel and heavily traveled by ranchers, rangers and campers. This is cattle country; moose, elk, mule deer and many other animals abound. Eagles and osprey rule the skies. Flyfishing is awesome here. Few people; lots of nature. The road is open from April to the snow falls, usually November. At the confluence, the road curves sharply to the south, eventually becoming LaBarge Creek Rd and coming out at LeBarge, WY.
The waymark was taken from the edge of the water on a rock on the north bank of the Grays and the east bank of the Little Grays, where the two come together. Both rivers are beautiful; clean, clear water bubbling over rocks. The Grays is about 40 feet wide at this point and the Little Grays is about 20 feet wide. Water flow varies greatly during the year. This point was taken at July water levels.
