At this crossing, the traveler passes between Easton (Northampton County) PA, and Phillipsburg (Warren County) NJ.
There are virtually no markings indicating state change - on the PA side the highway is limited-access and features a "Last-Exit in PA" sign. On the NJ side, there are signs noting PA Route 611 - and of course a toll booth.
Traveling from PA to NJ is free - traveling from NJ to PA incurs a toll.
