This beautiful little statue stands on a pedestal on a star shaped base along the banks of the Oatka Creek in LeRoy, Genesee County, NY. As with many of these little Lady Liberties, it was part of a campaign by the Boy Scouts of America to spread awareness of the statue in the 1950's. Communities were encouraged to get one for a prominent place in their town. This one was last re-dedicated in the 1980s with the help of a local community service organization. There is presently a campaign going on to refurbish her again.
