Located on Historic Route 66 in Miami, OK the Route 66 Vintage Iron Motorcycle Museum is a definite "must-see" on your travels down The Mother Road.
Located at 128 S. Main, it is open from 10:00-6:00 Mon-Sat, and 12:00-5:00 on Sunday. There is no admission, but donations are appreciated. The gift shop features Route 66 memorabilia as well as motorcycle items.
This is a fantastic motorcycle museum with numerous examples of the iron that ruled the roads in days gone by. Steve McQueen's racing Husqvarna is on display, as well as his racing trophies. You will see the only 1919 GCS Australian motorcycle left in existence, and the cycle driven by Marlon Brando in "On the Waterfront."
Miami, OK is full of locations from the glory days of Route 66. Be sure to visit the Coleman Theater while in town.
