Blue Coal - Ghost Signs on Waymarking.com

This "ghost" appears on the side of the Huber Breaker (also known as the Ashley Breaker")as a reference to the "blue coal" marketed by the Glen Alden Coal Company begining in the 1930's. The coal was dyed blue as a marketing gimmick and the dye served as a lubricant which helped move the coal down the chute.
