A little park, is named for Amedee Deschenes, who was cited for bravery during the World War. The park is also a memorial to Civil War heroes of New Hampshire, each tree bearing a bronze plaque inscribed with the name of one of them.~New Hampshire a Guide to the Granite State, 1938
This park now holds memorials to soldiers from all wars the US has been involved in.
