This Wat sits in the centre of a nature reserve a few kilometres south of the small town of Suwannaphum (not to be confused the Thai international airport of the same name). The distinctive feature of this Wat is that it encloses and incorporates an ancient Kymer era Prasat at its centre.
The main Wat building lies to the west of the Prasat, and has the usual range of features, a meeting hall, quarters for the monks and so forth, however, several of the Wat buildings directly attach themselves to the Kymer Prasat (in gallery). An interesting feature of the Wat, for those who chose to visit, is that tame monkeys, who enjoy being fed by tourists, live in the reserve and in the Wat.
During my visit I saw only one, old monk at the Wat. It does not seem to draw many visitors or worshippers.
