Tha-Tum is the district capital of the Tha-Tum district. The town is small, a few thousand people. Its principal bus route is the line between the two neighbouring provincial capitals of Surin and Roi-Et. A bus will pass through each way every hour or so, plus, from this terminal local buses carry people to the surrounding villages.
The station itself is a converted building, with one ticket counter, a dozen or more chairs, and a designated parking space on the road outside. There are no specific bus parking bays, the buses park on the curb. The station lies on the main road through the town. There was no station sign visible. Not the busiest station.
