The statue "KING AND HEIR", of a male penguin and his chick stands in front of the Penguin Discovery Zone in Mystic Aquaruim and Institute for Exploration. It is a cast bronze figure standing on a granite block.
A plaque reads:

Given by Virginia Marie Peterson to honor her
husband and his life's work, dedicated to
the protection of penguins and all wildlife.
