This is the tomb Arizona's first governor George Wylie Paul Hunt, (1859-1934). Hunt served as Arizona's governor from 1912-1919 and 1923-1933 (in the interim, he was appointed ambassador to Siam by Woodrow Wilson). The tomb is a small white pyramid protected by a fence atop a small hill in Phoenix's Papago Park. The tomb overlooks the Phoenix Zoo and the modern skylines of Phoenix and Tempe.

The twenty-foot tall tomb was commissioned in 1931 by Hunt as the final resting place of his wife, Helen. Hunt was also interred there after his death in 1934.
