This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Danvers and the Town of Topsfield. The letters "D" (for Danvers) and "T" (for Topsfield) are inscribed on opposite sides. It is approximately eight inches square and two feet high.

The marker is located about 0.2 mile west of the junction of Route 35 and Route 97.
