Nice Bataan Death March memorial in downtown Ely, MN. The memorial is located next to the VFW Club Post # 2717. Though downtown Ely, Ely is small town with a great atmosphere. Quaint shops are near the memorial. The city of Ely is home to many outfitters as the area is the gateway to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
The plaque reads:
