The province of Roi-Et is lies in north eastern Thailand, ~500kms from Bangkok. The provincial bus station is located in the capital city of the province, also named Roi-Et. This bus station links the province to Bangkok, and to the neighbouring provinces of north eastern Thailand (Esarn). It also connects the capital city to the districts and towns within the province.

This station is tucked away, back from the main road, west of the town centre. It follows the usual design of a Thai bus station, a long rectangular covered waiting area, with bus parking bays around, a ticket area at one end, a small convenience store and toilets at the other. TVs blaring over head. Around the station are tuk-tuks and small shops. A little dusty and slightly worn, but entirely serviceable.

There is little written or spoken English in the station. To communicate be prepared to be inventive, or bring your Thai girlfriend along.

A busy station, Thai folk tend to rely heavily on buses for transportation. Any time of the day or evening, this station will be busy.
