As I was taking pictures of this bridge, a farmer stopped and asked what was going on.
I explained that I eas "waymarking", and what waymarking is.
He said that he owned the ground and was just seeing why I stopped.
He went on to tell me that this bridge was the second bridge installed here.
The original truss bridge washed out in a flood about 12 years earlier. The one standing today was brought in from another part of the county that was going to get a new concrete bridge.
He also said that the locals call this part of the creek "Bear" Creek, and not the south branch of the Little Missouri Creek.
There is not a good place to pull over and get pictures. I guess it was a slow traffic day.
