This sculpture of Hippocrates (the Father of Medicine) is located in a beautifully landscaped and shaded plaza in the Health Sciences complex. The plaza is used by the medical and pharmacy students to study, take breaks, or just eat their lunch.
Hippocrates is standing on a pedestal, and is easily spotted from any building around the plaza.

Description:
Full-length standing figure of Hippocrates. He is dressed in a toga that is draped over his proper left shoulder and wears sandals. He proper left hand holds the gathers of his toga against his chest. His proper right arm extends back and rests on a pedestal behind him.
