This Wat is not too far from the train station, and easily reached on foot from the town centre (it is a small town). The Wat has some impressive architecture, particularly in the main building. The Buddha statue itself is superbly crafted.
On slightly unusual feature, in the main building one is permitted, after making a small donation, to lift a very heavy rock (in gallery). This rock reminds me of a meteorite. I just wonder if it is an ancient meteorite, regarded as 'celestial', and used for generations for this purpose?
