The Mystic Seaport Lighthouse was built in 1966 as an exact replica of the lighthouse that stands now at Brant Point on Nantucket Island.
The lighthouse is made of wood and stands 25 feet (3.2 meters) tall.

The Lighthouse is operational but does not function to navigation. It houses a fourth order Fresnel Lens on loan from The U. S. Coast Guard.
