Near the centre of the town of Sisaket, on a traffic roundabout, is a statue of a woman bathing, and washing her hair. This statue represents the ancient Kymer princess Sri, who prepared herself in this manner in order to dance before and to worship the god Vishnu.

The name of the town, Sisaket (also transliterated into English as "Srisaket"), was given to the town in 1936. This name is based upon the name of this princess. Also, the town government uses her image as its emblem. In days past Sisaket had been a Kymer city.

The statue was constructed in 1981 by the people of the town. As with most statues in Thailand, the statue is also a shrine to the princess, where citizens can pray and leave offerings.

The full title of the statue and princess is: Phra Nang Sri Sra Phom.
Phra Nang Sri = Princess Sri
Sra Phom = washing her hair.
