This is a bench mark I located by dead reckoning. Noticed on a map that BM was located in the area and could not immediately find a PID as there was none available. As noted below, will share info on BM.

Lincoln School, 1.2 mi E. of, thence 2.3 mi N,; 40 ft N. and 20 ft E. of crossroads; in comcrete post projecting 6 in,; standard tablet stamped "38 WSM 1949 401"

I have lived in this area for quite a few years and can not recall a Lincoln School This marker is located on the Sandhills Gameland owned by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission in Richmond County off Millstone Road on a sand road. I would recommend to any seekers that you be familiar with driving in heavy sand and possibly mud if recent rainfall. Barring that, you should take 4WD for this adventure.

*** Additional note: After cosulting an old topo map there indeed was at one time a school named Lincoln School. It was located near the intersection of Ledbetter Rd and Beaverdam Church Rd.
